EFT is leading the project to build a 410 MW thermal power-plant in the vicinity of the Stanari lignite mine. The Stanari TPP project represents one of the main investments in the energy sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina to date.

The state-of-the-art TPP Stanari will produce  3 million megawatt hours of energy per year, which represents about 25% of the total present annual energy generation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At projected capacity, the plant will use 2.8 million tonnes of lignite per year from the nearby Stanari mine.

TPP Stanari will be the first generation capacity of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina to fully abide by the relevant EU directives on protection of the environment.
